Family, friends, and the Virginia motorcycle community are mourning the tragic loss of Jennifer Hollingsworth, 39, of Fredericksburg, who died following a motorcycle crash in Fairfax Station on the evening of July 23.
According to the Fairfax County Police Department, officers responded at approximately 7:13 p.m. to the intersection of Ox Road and Chapel Road after receiving reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV.
Preliminary findings from the department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit indicate that Jennifer was riding a 2025 Suzuki GSX-R750 northbound on Ox Road when it collided with a 2021 Buick Enclave that was making a left turn from southbound Ox Road onto eastbound Chapel Road.
Emergency personnel responded quickly to the scene, but Jennifer sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Buick Enclave was not injured and remained at the location to cooperate with investigators.
Authorities stated that alcohol is not believed to have been a factor for the driver of the SUV. Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision, including whether speed or alcohol may have been contributing factors for the motorcycle rider. The investigation remains active.
The Fairfax County Police Department has assigned victim specialists from the Major Crimes Bureau’s Victim Services Division to provide support and resources to Jennifer’s family as they cope with their loss.
